In case you think someone is having a heart attack:

Tell the person to sit down, rest, and try to keep calm.

Ask the person to take any chest pain medicine, such as nitroglycerin,

In case the pain does not go away promptly with rest or within 3 minutes of taking nitroglycerin, call anyone for emergency medical help.

DO NOT’s for a heart attack:

DO NOT leave the victim alone but except to call for medical help.
DO NOT allow the person to refuse the symptoms and he may convince you not to call for emergency help.
DO NOT wait for long to see if the symptoms go away.
DO NOT give the person anything by mouth unless it is heart medicine.
